Refunds Policy

This policy governs returns and refunds for purchases on munkiyitaly.it, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU and the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005, Articles 52–59 and 64–67).

Right of withdrawal

Consumers resident in the European Union may withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days of receiving the product, without giving a reason (Article 52 et seq. of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005).

How to withdraw You may notify us of your withdrawal at any time within the 14-day period using the dedicated function: withdraw from the contract here. It is available without registration or login throughout the withdrawal period, as required by Article 54-bis of the Italian Consumer Code. You will automatically receive an email acknowledgement containing your declaration and the date and time: please keep it.

Alternatively, send written notice to info@munkiyitaly.it or an explicit declaration by post, stating:

your order number;
the purchaser’s full name;
the item or items to be returned.

Once you have notified us of withdrawal, you must send the product back within 14 days of that notification. On receiving your request, we will provide instructions on how to proceed.

Withdrawal is considered exercised when the declaration is transmitted, independently of any subsequent confirmation from us.

Conditions for accepting a return

To be accepted, the returned product must meet the following conditions:

be in the same condition as when delivered;
not have been used, worn or damaged;
include all original accessories and tags;
be returned in its original packaging or suitable equivalent packaging.

Products sent without prior authorisation will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender.

Shipping costs For withdrawals, the customer bears the return shipping costs. Original shipping costs will be refunded, except where a delivery method other than standard delivery was selected. If the product is defective or the error is attributable to Munkiy Italy, we bear the return costs.

Products excluded from the right of withdrawal

Under Article 59 of the Italian Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal is excluded for:

personalised or made-to-measure products, such as items with laser engraving or name personalisation;
items that, for hygiene reasons, cannot be returned once opened or used.

Items with and without engraving The exclusion applies only to items actually made with your engraving: they are made to your specifications and cannot be resold. The same item purchased without personalisation remains fully eligible for withdrawal, even within the same order. This information is provided on every product page before purchase.

The exclusion in no way affects the 24-month statutory conformity warranty, which applies to all products, including personalised items, and is a separate and broader right than withdrawal.

Damaged, defective or incorrect products

Please inspect your parcel on delivery. If there is visible damage, record a written reservation on the courier’s receipt.

To report a problem, email info@munkiyitaly.it with your order number and photographs. We will provide instructions for replacement or refund.

For a defect or an error on our part, do not use the withdrawal function: this falls under the statutory conformity warranty, which also covers personalised items and is not subject to the 14-day limit.

Refund procedure

After receiving and checking your return, we will send confirmation by email.

If approved, the refund is made within 14 days using the same payment method as the purchase.
As provided by Article 56(3), we may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or proof that they have been sent back.
Original shipping costs are refunded where required by law.
The time taken for funds to appear depends on the bank or payment network.
